I decided to figure out how to use this Blogger site. Beegh did that first part with the picture of Scott and me. Now I'm taking over.

Scott, Spencer and I went to Washington DC in April to visit Courtney. We had an incredible time. We visited Mount Vernon, Gettysburg, the National Cathedral, the Holocaust Museum, Ford Theatre, all the Smithsonian Museums including the Air and Space one at Dulles AFB, the Spy Museum, all of the memorials, Bureau of Engraving and Printing and a lot more. Courtney arranged tours of the White House West Wing and the Supreme Court with her friends. We had very long, and very fun-filled days. It was so great to spend the time with Spence before he left and we always love to see Courtney.

Our friend, Congressman Jeff Flake, took us on the coveted Capitol Dome Tour. Wow! Did you know there is a new dome constructed over the original dome and you can climb stairs between the two domes and see the inside of the rotunda from the top railing and then step outside onto the railing above the dome? It was a perfect clear day. Our whole trip turned out perfectly.

Courtney's friend, Mike, took us on a fascinating tour of the West Wing. We got to peer in to the Oval Office!
